Summer is winding down and we are trying to squeeze in all the last minute fun things... but poor Layla is wiped out! She is always falling asleep in the car these days, poor baby is tired.
We took the kids to the Arizona Diamondback vs St Louis Cardinals games. The Cardinals always come to AZ in July or August time frame, and we make sure to never miss it! Our kids are finally getting old enough that these kind of activities are really getting to be fun to share with them. I am looking forward to doing lots of traveling, sports game going, play watching, and experience making activities with them. The first day off school has started and this year we are attending a new school! The kids now go to American Leadership Academy. So far it's been a good switch, and they are with a ton of their friends from church as well as their old school (they switched over as well.) Perhaps my favorite part about this charter school is their values. The school was founded by members of the church so they have very high character values that they implement in the students: RAISE Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Service, and Excellence. I hope they have the best school year yet. Abby is starting 4th grade, Connor 2nd, and Brayden kindergarten. Layla is in a Preschool class that contains both 3 and 4 year olds.
To celebrate the first week of school we decided to go to the Arizona Children's Museum to celebrate. It was a nice way to relax and have fun with the kids before the busy fall schedules with activities start running our lives.
